Frequently Asked Questions
Upload Files FAQ
1. How to Upload Your Files
- Prepare Your File: Ensure your file follows our file specifications, including resolution, color mode, and bleed settings. For best results, files should be in CMYK color mode with a resolution of at least 300 DPI.
- Select Your File: Choose your file from your device, ensuring that it’s in one of the supported formats (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, or EPS).
- Upload: Click the “Upload” button to submit your file. The file upload speed will depend on the size of your file and your internet connection.
- Review: Once your file has been uploaded, our team will review it to ensure it meets the required specifications for printing. You’ll be notified if any adjustments are needed.
- Confirmation: After the file is reviewed, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and your project will proceed to the printing stage.
2. File Formats We Accept
- PDF: Preferred for most print projects as it retains high resolution and correct formatting.
- JPEG: Ideal for images and photographs, provided the resolution is 300 DPI or higher.
- TIFF: Suitable for high-quality images, especially when lossless compression is needed.
- EPS: Best for vector graphics to ensure scalability without loss of quality.
3. File Submission Tips
Resolution: For the best print results, ensure your files are at least 300 DPI. Lower resolutions may result in pixelation or blurry prints.
Color Mode: Submit your files in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) for accurate color reproduction. RGB files may not print with true color accuracy.
Bleed: Add a 3mm bleed around your artwork to prevent white edges during trimming. This ensures your design extends to the edge of the paper after cutting.
File Size: Large files may take longer to upload directly to our system. If your file exceeds 50MB, we recommend using a third-party file transfer service. This allows you to send us your design easily and without compression issues. Here are some recommended services:
- WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com): Upload files up to 2GB for free. Once uploaded, generate the download link and email it to us at support@printing.com.sg.
- Google Drive (www.drive.google.com): Upload your file to Google Drive, share the file with a link, and send the link to support@printing.com.sg.
- Dropbox (www.dropbox.com): Use Dropbox to upload and share files with a link. Email the link to support@printing.com.sg.
- OneDrive (www.onedrive.com): Upload your large files to OneDrive, generate a shared link, and send it to support@printing.com.sg.
- Using these services ensures that your files retain their full quality and allows us to access and prepare them for printing seamlessly.
