Acceptable Print Policy
This Acceptable Print Policy outlines standard production requirements, artwork preparation guidelines, and print tolerances applicable to all orders submitted to Printing.com.sg. These guidelines are established to ensure consistent production outcomes and must be adhered to for all submitted print files.
Design & Trimming Tolerance
All printed products are subject to standard trimming tolerances. Minor size variations may occur during the cutting process. Designs that include borders, frames, or edge-aligned elements may show slight inconsistencies and should allow sufficient margins.
Exact edge-to-edge alignment cannot be guaranteed.
Double-Sided Printing Alignment
For double-sided printing, minor front-to-back alignment variation is expected due to normal production processes. This is considered an acceptable tolerance and does not constitute a defect.
Critical elements should not be placed directly opposite each other on front and back layouts.
Artwork File Requirements
Customers are responsible for submitting print-ready artwork that meets the specifications stated on the product page.
Artwork files should:
-
Be supplied in PDF format where possible
-
Be set to CMYK colour mode
-
Have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI at final print size
Printing.com.sg is not responsible for print issues caused by incorrect file setup, low-resolution images, missing fonts, or incomplete artwork preparation.
Bleed & Safe Margin Guidelines
Where applicable, artwork must include:
-
A minimum of 3mm bleed on all sides
-
A recommended 5mm safe margin from trim edges
Failure to include proper bleed or margins may result in white edges or unintended trimming.
Colour Variation
Colour variations may occur between different print orders, reprints, or production batches. Variations can be influenced by material type, ink, printing method, and production conditions.
Exact colour matching across different materials or separate print runs cannot be guaranteed. Colours viewed on screens or digital proofs may differ from the final printed output.
Proofing & Artwork Responsibility
Customers are responsible for checking and approving final artwork before production. Once artwork is approved and production has commenced, Printing.com.sg is not responsible for errors present in the approved file.
Changes After Order Submission
Requests for changes to artwork or order specifications must be made before production begins. Once an order has entered production, changes may not be possible.
Reprint Assessment
Reprint requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Issues resulting from accepted production tolerances, artwork setup, colour variation, or alignment limitations outlined in this policy are not eligible for reprint.
Reprints may be considered only where a confirmed production error has occurred and the issue is unrelated to the conditions stated above.
Policy Acceptance
By submitting artwork and placing an order, customers confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted this Acceptable Print Policy. Acceptance of this policy forms part of the ordering process for all printed products.
